The wife of the murdered Kwara ruler returns home.

The reported incident involves the wife of the slain Olukoro of Koro Ekiti in Kwara State, General Segun Aremu-Cole (retd), and two other individuals who were kidnapped.

According to the information provided, they have now regained their freedom, having been released late on Monday.

The incident occurred when gunmen reportedly stormed the palace around 9 pm, resulting in the tragic death of the monarch, General Segun Aremu-Cole.

Following the killing, the assailants abducted his wife and two others from the palace.

The Asiwaju of Koro, Chief Samuel Ayobola, confirmed the release of the kidnapped individuals, stating that they had returned to Koro about 30 minutes prior to the announcement.

Initially, the abductors had demanded a ransom of N100 million, but it was later reduced to N40 million.

The situation involved a harrowing series of events, with the assailants taking the widow and others hostage after the tragic killing of the Olukoro.

The subsequent release of the kidnapped individuals, as reported, brings a measure of relief to the community and family members involved.
