SUPER Eagles revise starting XI for AFCON final.
Ahead of the highly anticipated AFCON 2023 final clash against Ivory Coast, the Super Eagle team of Nigeria have made tactical adjustments to their starting lineup. Samuel Chukwueze rejoins the squad, while Zaidu Sanusi returns from injury to bolster the team’s defense.
Manager Jose Peseiro has opted for these changes, sidelining Moses Simon and Bright Osayi-Samuel, who will start the match from the bench. Leading the charge for Nigeria is the formidable Victor Osimhen, supported by a strong defensive lineup featuring William Troost-Ekong, Semi Ajayi, and Calvin Bassey.
Ola Aina is set to continue his dynamic runs down the flank, while the midfield duo of Frank Onyeka and Alex Iwobi face the daunting task of controlling Ivory Coast’s physical midfield.
The stage is set for an electrifying showdown as the Super Eagles lock horns with the Elephants of Ivory Coast at the Alassane Ouattara Stadium in Abidjan, with kickoff scheduled for 9pm.
