Abuja is witnessing a surge in construction activities, as the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Ezenwo Nyesom Wike, underscores the importance of President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda. Wike, after inspecting various ongoing projects in the city, emphasized the administration’s commitment to ensuring rapid development and tangible improvements in residents’ lives.

Expressing satisfaction with the progress, Wike lauded the contractors’ dedication and highlighted the nearing completion of several key projects. Notable among these are the Wuye interchange, approaching 85% readiness, and the ongoing Kuje road project, showcasing commendable pace and quality of work.

Wike reassured stakeholders of the administration’s determination to prevent project abandonment, with priorities outlined in the forthcoming statutory budget. This commitment reflects the government’s proactive stance in addressing infrastructure challenges and fostering sustainable development.

The transformation of Abuja into a construction hub aligns with the overarching goals of the Renewed Hope Agenda, aimed at revitalizing optimism and addressing past disillusionment among residents. Wike emphasized the administration’s resolve to leverage available opportunities to deliver tangible results, focusing on revenue generation and transparent utilization of funds for development purposes.

Supporting this vision, Engr. Shehu Hadi Ahmad, Executive Secretary of the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA), highlighted ongoing initiatives, including the construction of the 76-kilometer Kuje-Gwargwada-Rubochi-Abaji-Nasarawa six-lane highway, reflecting the administration’s commitment to infrastructural development.
