Nollywood star Toyin Abraham has made a firm decision to keep her future political leanings private, citing a valuable lesson learned from a recent online interaction. The exchange shed light on the assurances given to her by President Bola Tinubu during the 2023 general election campaign.
The conversation began when a user known as Otunba (@ManLikeIcey) expressed curiosity, urging Toyin Abraham to share the plans that Bola Tinubu had shared with her. In response, Abraham disclosed that she had been promised “good governance and happiness for everyone” by Tinubu’s camp.
However, Abraham expressed reluctance to face public scrutiny if the promises did not materialize, highlighting her past experience of being bullied after openly supporting a different candidate. When further questioned about Tinubu’s performance in governance, Abraham emphasized that she had learned her lesson and would no longer publicly declare her political choices.
In 2023, Toyin Abraham shared pictures of her meeting with the then-presidential candidate of the All Progressive Congress, Tinubu, and the governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu. She expressed renewed hope and reaffirmed her support for Tinubu’s vision and strategies to address the nation’s challenges.
