Construction on the Fourth Mainland Bridge, will start in the first quarter of 2024- Sanwo-Olu.
The Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Thursday, said the building of the long-awaited Fourth Mainland Bridge would commence in the first quarter of this year, “by the end of March or April.”
During the Lagos West Senatorial District Town Hall Meeting, which took place at the Balmoral Convention Centre, Sheraton, Ikeja, the governor revealed this in his keynote speech.
While pointing out that the bridge will be built gradually, Sanwo-Olu assured that tenants and landlords whose buildings are demolished in the process will receive fair compensation.
We’ve worked on the bridge extensively. However, we are at a loss as to where to find the actual funding for a project of that nature. We’ll have to think outside the box,” he remarked.
The Fourth Mainland Bridge’s construction will begin in the first quarter, according to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, who added the qualifier “by the end of March or April.”
