Governor Aiyedatiwa swears in commissioners, special advisers, and Head of Service

Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State, during a ceremony in Akure, administered the oath of office to six commissioners, eight special advisers, and the new Head of Service, Mr. Bayo Philip. In his address, the governor emphasized the importance of the appointments as a call to service and urged the appointees to uphold public trust and deliver good governance to the people of the state.

Addressing the newly sworn-in officials, Governor Aiyedatiwa stressed the need for innovative policies to address the challenges faced by the populace, emphasizing the importance of leading by example and avoiding ostentatious lifestyles. He also appealed to the citizens to allow the appointees to carry out their duties without undue pressure or distraction.

The newly inaugurated Head of Service, Mr. Bayo Philip, called on state workers to recommit themselves to the civil service, promising to promote merit-based promotions while discouraging tardiness and laxity.

Among the sworn-in commissioners are Mr. Emmanuel Igbasan, Engr. Razaq Obe, Mrs. Omowumi Isaac, Mr. Kayode Ajulo, Mr. Akinwumi Sowore, and Mr. Oyeniyi Oseni. The appointed Special Advisers include Mr. Olugbenga Omole, Mrs. Olamide Falana, Hon. Alabi Johnson, Mr. Summy Smart-Francis, Mrs. Olawunmi Ilawole, Pastor Babalola Ayoade, Mr. Abdulganiy Muhammed, and Prof. Simidele Odimayo.

Expressing gratitude on behalf of the appointees, Mr. Emmanuel Igbasan thanked Governor Aiyedatiwa for the confidence placed in them and pledged their support to the government of Ondo State.

The dissolution of the previous executive council on January 24 paved the way for the inauguration of the new cabinet, signaling a fresh start for governance in Ondo State.
