Body recovered from Lagoon after third Mainland bridge accident

The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has confirmed the recovery of a male body from the Lagoon following a tragic accident on the Third Mainland Bridge. Mr. Ibrahim Farinloye, Lagos Territorial Coordinator for NEMA, stated that the Marine Police retrieved the body near the accident site. However, efforts are still underway to locate the body of a female passenger who also fell into the Lagoon during the incident. The accident occurred when a commercial vehicle somersaulted and collided with the bridge’s rails, ejecting two passengers into the water.
