In a commendable move, Ademorin Kuye, the lawmaker representing Somolu Federal Constituency in Lagos State, has distributed 500 free UTME forms to residents of Somolu and Bariga. The initiative, known as the “Kuye 2024 Free JAMB/UTME,” is part of the Educational Support Initiative (ESI) that commenced in 2018, aiming to provide equal educational opportunities for the masses in his constituency.

The two-day screening for the current edition took place at Hon. Kuye’s Shomolu constituency office in Bariga LCDA, Lagos. Titilayo Lawanson, the Chairperson, emphasized that the initiative was specifically designed to benefit the Somolu Federal Constituency.

To qualify, candidates needed a minimum of five credits, including English and Mathematics, at a maximum of two sittings. Those awaiting results were automatically disqualified. Candidates were required to bring copies of SSCE result(s), Lagos State Residents Registration Agency (LASRRA) Card, and a passport photograph. Lawanson added that individuals above 18 years of age needed to show a Permanent Voters’ Card (PVC) as a sign of civic readiness.

Lawanson expressed the lawmaker’s intent to support candidates who might lack financial capacity due to the country’s current situation. Beneficiaries like Adelaja Oyinkansola and Osho Babatunde expressed gratitude for the initiative, noting how it has restored hope to those facing financial challenges.
