President Bola Tinubu has named esteemed banker and entrepreneur, Jim Ovia, as the Chairman of the Nigerian Education Loan Fund.

 

Ovia’s appointment was announced in a statement titled, ‘President Tinubu appoints Jim Ovia as Chairman of the Nigerian Education Loan Fund,’ released on Friday by the Special Adviser to the President, Media & Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale.

 

The statement highlighted Ovia’s exemplary track record in the banking sector and his dedication to empowering young Nigerians through various initiatives.

 

As an alumnus of Harvard Business School and a holder of a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Louisiana, Ovia brings a wealth of experience to his new role.

 

The National Student Loan Programme aims to ensure equitable access to higher education and skill development for all Nigerian students and youths.

 

President Tinubu expressed confidence in Ovia’s ability to advance the vision of providing financial support to Nigerian students pursuing higher education.
