CAN urges patience with Tinubu’s administration for national progress
The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) is calling on fellow citizens to exercise patience with President Bola Tinubu’s administration as it diligently addresses the nation’s numerous challenges. Archbishop Daniel Okoh, the President of CAN, made this appeal during his inaugural visit to the State House, Abuja, where he congratulated President Tinubu and pledged support for the administration’s success and for national progress.
After the meeting, Archbishop Okoh highlighted the President’s sensitivity to the issues facing Nigerians and commended the proactive steps taken to tackle these challenges. He acknowledged that the current difficulties stem from years of neglect, emphasizing the time required to address and rectify the deep-seated issues.
“We have observed the President’s sensitivity to the challenges we face. His positive steps, starting from his initial appointments, demonstrate a commitment to inclusiveness. Nigerians now feel a sense of belonging in this government, boosting confidence,” Okoh stated.
While acknowledging the significant challenges, Okoh urged Nigerians not to lose hope, emphasizing that the current administration is taking intentional steps to reverse the prevailing trends, particularly in governance and national security. He encouraged patience, noting that the process of turning around the nation’s fortunes would take time.
“We ask Nigerians not to lose hope but to persevere. Despite the challenges, the intentional steps taken by the President are clear, especially in governance and securing the nation. A new dawn is on the horizon,” he concluded.
