Supreme Court decisions loom: Security tightens for seven Governors’ fate.
Security measures have been significantly increased in and around the Supreme Court premises in anticipation of the Supreme court decision and judgments on seven governorship appeals. All roads leading to the Apex Court, starting from the Head of Service office, are now cordoned off by heavily armed personnel from the Nigeria Police, Department of State Services, and the Nigerian Army.
Notably, lawyers, party loyalists, and unaccredited journalists are being denied access to the court. The Supreme court decision judgments, expected in Lagos, Kano, Zamfara, Plateau, Ebonyi, Bauchi, and Cross River governorship disputes, are pivotal as they mark the final decisions from the apex court on these matters.
