Supreme Court victory demonstrates Judicial fairness – Governor Aliyu.
Governor Ahmed Aliyu of Sokoto State has described the recent judgment of the Supreme Court, affirming him as the winner of the 2023 governorship election, as evidence of the just and fair judicial process in the country. He expressed his gratitude to the residents of Sokoto upon his return and dedicated the victory to the people, emphasizing that it signifies their trust and belief in his ability to lead the state forward.
Aliyu Sokoto acknowledged the impartiality of the judiciary and appreciated President Buhari, Senator Bola Tinubu, Senator Kashim Shettima, and the judges for ensuring justice without interference. He also thanked his legal team, political leader Senator Aliyu Wamakko, and urged the opposition to collaborate for the state’s betterment.
The governor assured the people of his commitment to ongoing development projects, stating, “We will continue to work till 2027, taking the state to greater heights for the benefit of all.”
