Fire engulfs shops: Adamawa business complex faces devastation

In an unfortunate incident, a fire engulfs and wreaked havoc on a business complex, destroying seven shops in the early hours of Wednesday in Adamawa State.

 

Situated in Numan Local Government Area, the cause of the destructive fire is yet to be determined. Eyewitnesses suggest it may be linked to fluctuations in electricity supply to the complex.

 

The consequences of this incident are significant, resulting in the loss of properties worth millions of naira and causing immense hardship for the shop owners. Kaletapwa Farauta, the deputy governor of Adamawa State, expressed deep regret during her visit to the scene. She conveyed the state government’s heartfelt sympathy to the victims and the entire Numan community.

 

Farauta, addressing the press, described the incident as a considerable loss to the community. She assured the people that the government is actively working to provide assistance to the affected shop owners. Christopher Sofore, the chairman of Numan Local Government Area, who initially reported the incident to the deputy governor, appealed to the government to come to the aid of the shop owners who have lost everything to the inferno. It is adviced that shop owners be careful to avoid such fire engulfs in their respective business centres.
