Akpabio disavows fraudulent online loan scheme.
Senate President Godswill Akpabio has distanced himself from an alleged online palliative loan application circulating under his name. In a statement titled “Disclaimer: Fake Senate’s Online Loan Application,” issued by his special adviser on media and publicity, Eseme Eyiboh, Akpabio clarified that the advertisement on Facebook, claiming a ‘N200,000 Palliative Loan by the Senate,’ is the work of fraudsters.
Akpabio urges the public to exercise caution, warning against falling prey to criminals attempting to exploit unsuspecting Nigerians through deceptive initiatives supposedly initiated by him. The statement emphasizes that the Office of the President of the Senate has no association with the fraudulent Facebook handle named Templeshort and disclaims any connection to loan programs or palliative arrangements.
